NSI is West Bend's branch for specialized programs, normally not written by standard insurance companies. How have we been able to attract and retain quality associates? I believe the answer is best communicated by the term we use to describe our workforce. We refer to ourselves as associates, not employees. Employees take orders; associates make decisions that impact their jobs, our company, and their own personal lives.

At NSI, we've lifted those barriers by offering our associates the flexibility they need to balance professional and personal time, thereby finding success as individuals. Another element to attracting and maintaining quality associates is our company's atmosphere. Although NSI continues to grow, we believe it's important to maintain the atmosphere of a smaller company. As such, we've minimized the layers of management.
